Experience riding with traffic and riding hills is definitely needed for this beautiful road route. The first 20 miles roll through gorgeous very quiet roads along a babbling brook and rolling hills. Hog Back Road offers the rider the first of the serious hill sections with outstanding views in more than one location. If you love to climb, then this route does not disappoint. Once by the Delaware River and the Frenchtown area, there are plenty of places to stop for food, drinks and sweets. This route begins and ends at a Hunterdon County Bike Store that lets riders use their restrooms and if you need anything before heading off they are always glad to help.
