Back to School Night
Back to School Night is a great opportunity to promote the Safe Routes to School Program~ encourage parents to walk their children to school, ask for chaperones for the walking school bus, and take an active role in promoting walking or bicycling at the school.

International Walk to School Day (I-WALK)
Each October, the Hunterdon County Safe Routes to School Program joins in celebrating International Walk to School Day (I-WALK). The global event provides the perfect opportunity to "launch" for your SRTS program at the start of the new school year.

Hunterdon County Winter Walk
The winter months provide a great time to invite our staff to your school to conduct pedestrian safety presentations and in-class activities.

Hunterdon County Walk to School Week
This weeklong event offers a great kick off to the spring walking season; introduce/re-introduce a walking school bus, create excitement around the warmer weather and opportunities to walk to school. The event features poster and picture contests, essay contests, and themed walk to school days. Staff is available to work with you to customize the event for your school.

Summer Reinforcement Programming
Bicycle & pedestrian safety are just as important when school is out. Working through local camps and recreation programs, staff continues to provide bicycle and pedestrian safety activities during the summer months.
