Environmental Education Programs Focus on Air Quality and Electric Vehicles

Environmental Education Programs Focus on Air Quality and Electric Vehicles

goHunterdon’s Environmental Education Program explores the connection between transportation choice and impact on the environment by providing lessons on Air Quality and Electric Vehicles to engage students in grades 4-8.

For the 2022-2023 school year, lessons are provided using a “Lesson in a Box” format, with all supplies and curriculum provided for teachers free of charge. Lessons have also been organized this year to align with Sustainable Jersey for Schools criteria to allow schools to earn points under the  “Healthy School Environments” and “Student and Community Outreach” Action Items.

The program offerings include a “How Clean is the Air? air quality experiment, an “Anti-Idling” activity, and the popular “Electric Vehicle Challenge” program.
