Sustainable Hunterdon Hub Focuses on Collaboration

Municipal and school Green Team representatives from across Hunterdon County convened recently as members of the Sustainable Hunterdon Hub to continue to explore opportunities to collaborate in their efforts to achieve certification under the statewide Sustainable Jersey program.

Attendees included representatives from Town of Clinton, Clinton Township, Franklin Township, High Bridge Borough, Kingwood Township, Raritan Township, Readington Township, and Tewksbury Township.

The Sustainable Hunterdon Hub, facilitated by goHunterdon, provides a forum for information sharing and collaboration among local Green Teams, training opportunities, and updates on Sustainable Jersey municipal program actions.

Coleen Conroy, High Bridge Schools, and Curtis Nowell, High Bridge Borough, shared their award winning collaboration efforts, which includes members of the High Bridge Environmental Commission volunteering at school Green Team events and engaging students in municipal Green Team activities.

Sustainable Jersey and Sustainable Jersey for Schools representatives, Lauren Skowronski and Veronique Lambert shared additional examples of other successful collaborations across the state.
