Toward Zero Deaths: NJ Strategic Highway Safety Plan Development

goHunterdon is participating in the development of the New Jersey 2020 Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP), a statewide, coordinated safety plan that provides a comprehensive framework for reducing highway fatalities and serious injuries on all public roads under state, county or local jurisdiction.

The SHSP is an action-oriented and data-driven, comprehensive multidisciplinary plan integrating the “4Es” of safety: Engineering, Education, Enforcement, Emergency medical services/Emergency response.

The SHSP establishes statewide goals, objectives, performance measures and emphasis areas to guide safety programs and investments.

The theme for the 2020 SHSP is “Toward Zero Deaths”.  This short video , produced as part of the Plan development asks the question, “Is Zero Achievable?”   https://vimeo.com/383590791
